We do not require account registration. The App does not ask for your name, email address, or any personally identifying information to function.

1.2 Automatically Collected Information

When you use the App, we may automatically collect:

• Device Information: Device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers
• Usage Data: Puzzle completion rates, levels played, session duration, in-app events
• Crash Reports: Error logs and crash diagnostics to improve app stability
• Language & Region: Device language and region settings

1.3 Firebase Services Data

We use Google Firebase services, which may collect:

• Firebase Analytics: Anonymized usage statistics and behavioral events
• Firebase Crashlytics: Crash and performance data
• Firebase Remote Config: App configuration data (no personal data)
• Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM): Push notification tokens (only if you grant permission)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the App
• Analyze usage patterns to enhance user experience
• Send push notifications (only with your explicit consent)
• Detect and fix bugs and crashes
• Deliver relevant app updates via Remote Config

3. Data Sharing

We may share your information with:

• Google / Firebase: Our analytics and infrastructure provider. See Google's Privacy Policy.
• Apple / Google Play: App distribution platforms with their own privacy practices.
• Legal Authorities: When required by applicable law or legal process.

4. Data Retention

We retain analytics and usage data for up to 26 months in accordance with Google Firebase's default retention policy. Crash logs are retained for 90 days. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

5. Children's Privacy

Inkwords is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately at privacy@inkwordsapp.com and we will delete that information.

6. Push Notifications

If you grant permission, we may send push notifications about daily puzzles, new features, and special events. You can disable notifications at any time through your device settings.

7. Cloud Sync & Backup

Inkwords uses anonymous cloud backup to sync your game progress across devices. This data is stored securely on Firebase servers and is not linked to any personally identifiable information.

8. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction or deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict certain processing activities
• Data portability
• Opt out of sale of personal data (we do not sell data)

9. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your data but cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
